Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of the Účtenka mobile application and the website www.uctenkaapp.cz. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

1. Service operator

The Účtenka service is operated by Banbosh Studio, a self-employed individual Petr Knobloch, based in the Czech Republic. Contact: podpora@banbosh.cz.

2. Service description

The Účtenka app allows you to:

  • Scan receipts with your phone camera and store them digitally.
  • Track warranty periods and receive reminders before they expire.
  • Generate PDF complaint letters with AI assistance under Czech consumer law.
  • Manage your profile, contacts and notification preferences.

3. AI assistant — informational nature

The AI legal assessment is for information only and does NOT replace legal advice from a lawyer or other qualified professional. The AI model may generate inaccurate or outdated information.

The operator bears no liability for decisions based on the AI assistant's output or for the success of your filed complaint. Always assess each situation individually and, in case of dispute, consult a lawyer, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI) or a consumer protection association.

4. User account

  • Using the service requires registration with a valid e-mail address.
  • The user agrees to provide truthful information and protect the sign-in password. The user is responsible for damage caused by account misuse.
  • The account is non-transferable. One user = one account.
  • The app is intended for individuals aged 13 and older.

5. User obligations

  • Only upload your own receipts and documents. The app is not intended for archiving third-party documents without consent.
  • Do not use the app for illegal purposes; do not knowingly enter false information into complaints.
  • Do not attempt to bypass security mechanisms, do not reverse- engineer the app, do not submit malicious data to the server.

6. Pricing and subscription

The Účtenka app is offered in two tiers. Both ship with the same feature set (OCR scanning, warranty tracking, push notifications, AI legal assessment, PDF complaint letters, detailed statistics, multi-device sync). The tiers differ only in the receipt cap and the level of support:

  • Free — free forever, no commitment. Up to 5 receipts per account. Full feature set including AI legal assessment and PDF complaints.
  • Pro — paid subscription that unlocks unlimited receipts and adds priority e-mail support. Pricing: CZK 69 / month or CZK 690 / year (about 17 % discount versus monthly). VAT is included.

Payment and renewal

  • Pro is billed exclusively through Google Play Billing (Android), or Apple App Store (once the iOS version is released). Banbosh Studio has no access to payment details — see Privacy Policy.
  • The subscription auto-renews at the end of each billing period at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation can be done anytime in Google Play / App Store settings. After cancellation Pro remains active until the end of the paid period.

Refunds

Refund requests follow the rules of the platform where payment was made — Google Play / Apple App Store. Banbosh Studio cannot refund payments accepted via these platforms directly.

Service availability

The operator does not guarantee uninterrupted service availability. During planned maintenance or unexpected outages we work to restore service as soon as possible. In case of longer outages, Pro subscribers are entitled to proportional compensation by extending the subscription.

7. Account termination

  • The user can delete the account anytime in Profile → Delete account permanently in the app, or per the instructions on the Delete account page.
  • The operator may terminate the account in case of material breach (service misuse, illegal content, repeated material breaches). In exceptional cases termination may be immediate.

8. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Czech law, the operator is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages (lost profit, lost data, lost business opportunities).
  • Damages caused by service unavailability due to force majeure, third-party outage (Google, Vercel, Supabase) or government intervention.
  • AI legal analysis results — see section 3.
  • Consequences of incorrect information entered by the user in the complaint letter.

This does not affect statutory consumer rights or operator obligations that cannot be waived in advance (§ 1815 and § 1822 of the Czech Civil Code).

9. Intellectual property

The app, logo, design, text and source code are protected by copyright and exclusively owned by the operator. The user receives only a non-exclusive license to use the app for personal use.

Receipts and photos that the user uploads remain the user's property. The operator processes them solely for the purpose of providing the service (see Privacy Policy).

10. Changes to these terms

Users will be notified of material changes in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If the user disagrees with the changes, the user may terminate the account without penalty.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Czech law. Any disputes will be heard by the competent Czech court.

Out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes: under § 14 of Czech Act No. 634/1992 Coll., consumers may contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz) or use the European Commission's online ODR platform.
